The Village Snob
Enjoy a coffee overlooking the Whanganui River or take a stroll through Pakaitore/ Moutoa gardens and admire what might be one of the largest Pohutukawa trees anywhere.
There really is nothing like shameless self-promotion. Not only is The Village Snob founded upon the principle of coffee in the outdoors, but it's also the day job of Paul, author of this guide.
Founded in February 2016, The Village Snob has been a relentless pursuit of better coffee a pursuit that has seen this iconic coffee cart evolve into what is best described as a wine bar for coffee people.
Blessed with a number of Kereru and Tui inhabiting the area, with occasional visits from Kingfishers and Kaka, making it one of the best spots for coffee in Whanganui, according to Google and Tripadvisor.
Getting there: The Village Snob is located on Taupo Quay, opposite Pakaitore/Moutoa Gardens. A short stroll along the river from the city bridge and Paddle Steamer Waimarie.
