Kakaho Campsite

Kakaho Campsite

A selection of basic campsites on the western side of Pureora, Kakaho campsite is accessed off Western Bays Road.
The main campsite is flanked by Podocarp forest, with a short (1.5 hour) walk nearby. Enjoy abundant bird life, and on a clear night, be treated to one of the most spectacular night skies you can imagine. Unfortunately, the grass areas have been torn up by vehicles most times weve visited.

Campsites are bookable and must be paid online on the Department of Conservation website.
