Stony River Walkway

Stony River Walkway

Beginning in the township of Okato, as the name suggests, the trail follows the Stony River through a bush reserve and into farmland, revealing impressive views of Mt Taranaki (on a clear day). The track returns the same way. The
historic swing bridge adjacent to the entrance once formed part of the Stony River walkway loop. The upper swing bridge was destroyed in a storm some years ago.
