K2K (Kinloch to Kawakawa Bay)

K2K (Kinloch to Kawakawa Bay)

Quite possibly the most talked about of the Great Lake Trails, and it is easy to see why. A well-graded trail through bush, this trail rides well after rain. Ride as a loop by connecting with the Otakeke track.
Starting at Kinloch, following a clockwise loop offers more flow and the predominately downhill Otaketake track at the end of this 35km loop. For a more leisurely trip, start at Orakau car park on Whangamata Rd, making Kinloch a perfect spot for a mid-way coffee or lunch.
